Visual Data Processor (Temporary Position)
Zetica’s Rail department invites speculative applications for Visual Data Processors. Zetica undertakes surveys within the railway environment to ascertain the condition of the track. The visual data processor (VDP) role involves interpreting a grey scale dataset and determining where the base of the ballast is. The work, while interesting is very visual but monotonous. This work would not suit someone with impaired eyesight. Being at ease and focused whilst working at a computer for 8 hours a day is important.
Zetica will provide comprehensive training. An interest in science, computers, geography, geology and physics would be advantageous for the position. We are looking for candidates who take personal pride in finishing a job to a high standard and in a timely fashion. A person who has natural focus and diligence would take this work on with ease.
As a key member of the Zetica Rail project team the VDP role requires you to work both as an individual but also realising the importance of the overall project status and delivery deadlines. Being able to demonstrate previous experience of working to deadlines would be beneficial.
Employment in this role is often on a temporary basis so might best suit a local person.
Salary – £75/day, inclusive of holiday pay.
